Physico-Chemical Water Treatment

Physico-chemical treatment combines chemical conditioning with physical separation to achieve high removal rates of suspended solids, fats, oils, COD, and BOD from industrial wastewater. This approach is particularly effective for wastewater that cannot be treated by biological methods alone.

VDZ Aqua’s physico-chemical treatment systems typically combine a WPF flocculator for optimal chemical conditioning with a DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) unit for efficient separation. The flocculator’s plug-flow design ensures uniform floc formation, while the DAF system’s micro-bubble technology (30–50 microns) provides excellent buoyancy for rapid separation.

Our PFL series DAF units can achieve sludge dry matter content of up to 35%, significantly reducing sludge disposal volumes and costs. The complete system is engineered as a single integrated solution, optimised for your specific wastewater composition.
